NOAA is moving to the cloud together. The cloud simplifies IT without letting traditional IT hurdles get in the way. This allows us to innovate in ways that are fundamental to the business of science we are in. There are many initiatives across NOAA that impact data management and cloud technologies. NOAA is in the process of finalizing developing a Cloud Strategy that guides the adoption and utilization of cloud capabilities and services. The NOAA Big Data Project (BDP) is making the vast data resources available on the cloud. The Earth Prediction Innovation Center (EPIC) driving full numerical model prediction capabilities to the cloud.
