The Big Data Program (BDP) is moving into an operational phase now contracts have been awarded to three cloud service providers: Amazon, Google, and Microsoft. As the project moves forward and matures, it is important to fully encompass the suite of data at NOAA, from the bottoms of the ocean to the depths of the galaxy. In order to do this, the BDP requires constant support and input from the NOAA data community. This session will give an overview of the BDP, and give a chance for the BDP team to interact directly with data managers and decision-makers. Chair selected presentations and open call for presentations.
